Deimos-2 was developed and integrated by Elecnor Deimos Satellite Systems (Spain), in cooperation with SATREC Initiative (South Korea).

Deimos-2 satellite was launched on June 19, 2014 on a Dnepr vehicle from the Yasny Cosmodrome (Russia). It operates from a sun-synchronous orbit at an altitude of 620 km and provides panchromatic images with 1 m resolution and multispectral images with 4 m resolution.
The average revisit time of Deimos-2 is 4 days and it can capture up to 200,000 km² per day. Swath width is 12 km. Recording equipment: HiRAIS / EOS-D. The satellite is able to swivel 30 degrees off nadir to each side, and 45 degrees in the event of a special order.
